All kinds of celebrities from the Birmingham rock scene could be seen at the Tower of Song on 4 July: On the occasion of the concert by the band Morganisation, led by Dave Scott Morgan, former member of Jeff Lynne’s ELO, bandmate of Steve Gibbons in the groups The Ugyl’s and The Balls and author of the worldwide hit „Hiroshima“ , the audience included former Wizzard drummer Keith Smart, Martin Smith (former ELO guitarist from 1986) and Steve Gibbons.
The audience was treated to an attractive programme of ELO songs and songs from Dave’s own extensive repertoire by the band consisting of Dave Scott Morgan, Mandy Scott Morgan, Lou Clark Jr. and Alex Lowe.
That alone would have been enough for an all-round successful evening. But the best was yet to come when Steve Gibbons joined the band. The repertoire was also nostalgic as the audience got to hear a medley of Dylan- and Elvissongs On the occasion of this partial reunion of the Ugly’s,
